First day at Amdahl farm!

The Amdahl farm has been inhabited by Kristine's family since 1603 (according to church records). However, there are traces of people living there since 700 B.C. Currently, Kristine's grandparents, Bjarne and Kirsten Bakkevig, are living there. It used to be a dairy farm, but currently only has a few chickens :)

Drawing of the Amdahl farm in Norway and
the Amdahl farm in South Dakota.  American
relative Mim Newman drew this.

U.S.A.!

Snake in the yard! Thankfully not poison!

Marina and a little bit of the beach shed/storage.
Grandpa Bjarne made this marina himself.

Grandma Kirsten has planted lots of water lily's here that will flower later this summer.

lovely pose by Kristine!

True that!

Another view of the mountain behind the house.
Can you see what appears to be a face in the
mountainside?

Kristine and I on the marina.
In the background you can see another beach that belongs to the farm,
this one doesn't have sand, but nice smooth rocks!
